Footpaths Update

Hello, Stocking Pelham!

Russell here. I've been keeping an eye on our beautiful rights of way to ensure they remain safe and enjoyable for everyone. At the start of the year, I took the time to survey all our footpaths to make sure they were in top shape. It was important to me that our paths remain welcoming and accessible, so I noted any issues that needed attention. From worn and fallen signs to slippery and broken bridges (Near Crabbs Lane and on footpath 1) and areas overgrown with foliage.

I'm thrilled to report that all these concerns have been addressed to Hertfordshire County Council. Thanks to Nicholas Maddox's prompt response, we can look forward to having all these issues resolved over the coming months this spring.

A previously overgrown entrance that was dealt with at the end of last year.

As we step into the warmer days, I encourage everyone to take advantage of the beauty our footpaths have to offer. Whether it's a leisurely stroll or an energetic hike, there's so much to explore right in our backyard.

If you come across any issues on the paths or roads, please report them directly through the Hertfordshire County Council's website at the provided links for highways and footpaths.

Let's keep our paths safe and beautiful together! Enjoy the great outdoors, and thank you for helping to maintain the charm of Stocking Pelham.

Happy walking!

Russell Martin
